Informational Notes

Of Special Interest to Members

April 26, 2008

The next Board meeting is set for May 17 at 10AM

MEMBER  ALERT

Since the budget meeting many units, mostly canopy and add a rooms

have been observed to have been damaged by the heavy snow load.

Members have been notified of any noticed damaged .

Because not all damage is visible from the out side, members are encouraged to check their units for possible water leaks.

A WORD OF CAUTION!!!

If you notice structural damage do not enter until you are sure the roof is supported enough to prevent a collapse. A roof collapsed up north when someone opened the door resulting in a fatality.

 Remember to be extremely careful

The annual budget meeting was held on March 8th

The membership dues will remain at $880.00

Scott is no longer the Park manager. He and his family have moved to another State.

Theresa Newman will temporarily reside in the Park House and keep an eye on the Park.

Steve and Ron will maintain the grounds and Vickie will continue to take care of the PARKS

Financial matters.

We've still had some people try and venture past the clubhouse and become immediately stuck.  Be aware that you are on your own if this happens as the park has no vehicle or tractor capable of pulling you out.  As well,  per your park rules I am not allowed to try.  We've also had tow companies refuse to venture past the main entrance to help people.  Another resident wanted in the back gate and did not have a key.  They took it upon themselves to break a hinge and move the gate as one entire chained together piece.  If you need a key please call ahead and make arrangements

Under these circumstances it will require good physical condition, a snowmobile or snow shoes to get to homes that are further into the park.  If you come to visit please sign-in at the clubhouse, know your limits and be safe (especially if your on a roof)!

This Winter:

Water, Facilities, & Safety

If you have a leaky spigot or any issue please inform the office.  (Water back on April 15th :)

Scott will be initiating a winter registration sign-in log in the clubhouse kitchen for safety purposes and so he knows who is in the park at all times.  If you come in beginning October 15th you are required by state law to sign the clipboard so we know you are here! It's the same as the concept the forest service uses on hiking trails.  You will need to put your name, site number, date-in, date leaving, and any emergency number/contact you wish to leave.

Entering through the back gate will require the same registration.  You will find a registration station on the fence at the rear of the outpost facing the dumpsters.

Also, in the past we've had a problem with people dumping porta-potties in sinks and urinals ... what can I possibly say besides "GROSS" and "I can't believe someone would do that".

If you make a mess dumping it in a toilet, please clean it up!

It's sad to think we may have to put up additional cameras but I have them and will if there are problems.  Gate crashers - Be aware that the front gate is now recorded 24/7.

These issues and associated policies are mandatory and non-compliance may result in a fine!

Reminders:

Remove your anti-siphon valve.

Shut-off everything and remember some electronics like clocks, tv's, vcr's and other items use power even when not in use.  You can also unplug your unit from the pedestal for added safety.

Cable TV

Dairyland Cable is offering cable over the winter months at the rate of 3 mos cost for six months of use. Beginning next season they will offer a 12 mos package at the nine month cost. Rates are not expected to increase, but for anyone using less than the six month normal usage, a $35.00 hook up fee will be charged to offset administrative and travel costs. For service call 1-800-677-6383

Boats

We are now allowing cargo trailers in the boat area (road side only).  Boats will always have preference but if a space is available you can register to use it.  If a time comes when it's needed for a boat, it will have to be moved, but right now it looks like we have plenty of room!
